Ingredients of Sesame Chicken

  1. You need of Chicken.
  2. You need 1 lb of skinless, boneless chicken breast (cubed).
  3. You need 2 tbsp of ap flour.
  4. You need 2 tbsp of cornstarch.
  5. You need 1/4 tsp of baking soda.
  6. Prepare 2 tbsp of soy sauce.
  7. You need 3 tbsp of water.
  8. Prepare 1 tsp of veg oil.
  9. It’s 1/4 tsp of sesame oil.
  10. You need 1/2 quart of veg oil.
  11. It’s of Sauce.
  12. Prepare 1 cup of chicken broth.
  13. Prepare 1/2 cup of brown sugar.
  14. You need 2 tbsp of white vinegar.
  15. Prepare 2 tbsp of soy sauce.
  16. You need 1 tbsp of sesame oil.
  17. You need 1/4 tsp of ground cayenne.
  18. You need 1 clove of garlic (minced).
  19. You need 1/4 cup of cornstarch.
  20. You need 1/2 cup of cold water.

Sesame Chicken instructions

  1. Stir flour, 2 tbsp cornstarch and baking soda together in medium bowl. Stir in 2 tbsp soy sauce, 3 tbsp water, 1 tsp veg oil and 1/4 tsp sesame oil.
  2. Stir chicken into batter to coat. Cover & refrigerate for 25 minutes.
  3. While chicken marinates, bring broth, sugar, vinegar , 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1/4 tsp cayenne and garlic to a boil. Dissolve 1/4 cup cornstarch with 1/2 cup cold water. Stir into sauce and boil for 2 more minutes (to thicken). Reduce heat to low & keep warm.
  4. Heat 1/2 quart veg oil in large fry pan or wok on med high heat (375°). Drop battered chicken in (a few at a time) & fry for 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towel.
  5. I serve my chicken on a bed of white rice with sauce drizzled on top and sesame seeds sprinkled at finish!.
