Ingredients
- 1 lb. chicken wings
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. tomato paste
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp. olive oil

Instructions
- Preheat a heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil.
- Add the chicken wings to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pot and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium and add the diced onions to the pot. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and tomato paste to the pot and stir to combine. Cook for an additional minute.
- Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, bay leaf, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the chicken wings to the pot and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Let the chicken wings stew for 45 minutes to an hour or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Remove the bay leaf from the pot and discard.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the pot and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the stewed chicken wings hot over rice or with crusty bread.
